Genghis Khan once invited the wisest sages of all the world’s major religions to his imperial court on the endless steppes to argue over which was the one true faith. The imams/priests/rabbis/scholars/mystics argued, sang and (if permitted by their religion) drank themselves silly for several weeks before the Great Khan decreed that all faiths were mere “fingers of a hand,” and that he would continue to worship the sky itself.
